It's been a while since I talked through a day, so how about today? (Sunday) Seems like a 'normal day' but there have been a few things that have made it extra special!
This morning we sent off 6 kids to Bring Me Hope camp! As you can see from the photos, they were very excited to return for their third year! They will have lots of fun, no doubt. (Ill be at bring me hope soon for two weeks and will see the rest of the eagles wings kids there!) they had all their stuff packed up and when they saw the van to take them they were even more excited! Happy goodbyes and on with the rest of my day.
I spent the rest of the day with the ew6 kids again. The seatbelts finally arrived for two of the boys new wheelchairs. They weren't allowed to go outside in them before they get the belts so they were both very keen to try them out in the big world. We took them outside in turns and they LOVED it. Seeing their big smiles going up and down the street was great. Made me realise how hard it must have been before they hard their own chairs to always just be pushed around. Never having the independence of choosing where to go that we have as people who can walk. That was a really special time being with them then.
Spent the rest of the evening hanging with my crazies. It was a tiring day!!
But this week is only going to get busier! As from Tuesday afternoon to Friday I will be helping out all day in the school running some special activities as all the teachers are attending a special training for working with autistic and non verbal children. (I'm excited to see the benefits of this training for some of my kids!) we have some fun activities planned and a team joining us half way through. Ill let you know how it's going. Please pry for that and that the kids behave haha.
